First Visit

What does an initial consultation look like?

As soon as you arrive for your scheduled consultation, one of our cheerful staff members will greet you and ask for your new patient application. As you are being checked in, we will ask you to read a short educational brochure before being escorted to our exam room. At any time, please be free to help yourself to fresh, chilled spring water and/or one of a variety of teas available.

In the exam room, you will first view a brief but informative video. Then, Dr. Beaudry will perform a complimentary physical and neurological screening to determine whether or not you are a candidate for chiropractic care. If he does find subluxations (disruptions in how the brain controls the body), one of our staff members will ask for a detailed history of your symptoms, as well as a list of any physical, chemical, or emotional traumas you may have experienced over your life. After this, and according to the doctor’s findings and recommendations, one or more examinations will be performed to determine your neurological status. Everyone is unique!

What happens after?

Once the screenings, personal health history, and examinations are complete, we will schedule you for a report of findings; a follow up appointment that comes at no additional cost. During the follow up appointment, Dr. Beaudry will go over if and how we can help you with chiropractic care-and we know we can! We encourage you to bring a spouse, partner or friend to the report of findings appointment so that you feel supported as you learn about your health results. Additionally, this support person can act as a safety net in your life who is knowledgeable and sensitive to what your journey towards optimal health looks like. Because report of finding appointments are exclusively scheduled at 10am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, we would be happy to provide a medical excuse note for your employer should the timing conflict with your work responsibilities.
